Our Story...

Hello! 

Its hard to condense my story into a few words but I will try to put it briefly.

Having spent the last 15 years immersed in the equestrian industry my life had taken some large changes and my priorities had in turn changed. I am a full-time mummy to my amazing little boy Rory and our baby Rex, I spent a lot of time away from home both nationally and internationally as an Equestrian Commentator.  As my eldest son was growing up (now 6 years old) I was missing him more and more with every trip and became fearful of missing out on his milestones and wanted to ensure that I could be there to support and nurture him throughout his young and very exciting life!  So, it was time for the horses to take a back seat and in 2021 the last of my wonderful team of horses were sold on to other riders all over the world.  Roll on the next chapter...

In February 2022 we completed the purchase of this exciting property and the new stage of learning began...

No.123 The Old Post House was created as a labour of love.  I wanted to bring life to what was a very old and tired terrace building by injecting it with my visions and passion.  The journey has been extremely bumpy and a very steep learning curve but I am proud to say that the result is simply a little glimpse of me. 

From Winter 2023 we were ready to welcome our first guests to this small, but mighty, guesthouse retreat in glorious East Yorkshire.  

So whether you are travelling for business or for leisure, we look forward to welcoming you to your relaxing stay at The Old Post House. 

I firmly believe in the importance of service over sparkles and will do my best the ensure you have all that you need during your stay with us (although, if you want sparkles too I am sure I can arrange for that!).
